A simple and low cost alternative to the VE.Bus BMS V2The smallBMS can replace the VE.Bus BMS V2 in several applications. It is however not suitable for use with VE.Bus MultiPlus and Quattro inverter/chargers: it has no VE.Bus interface. The smallBMS is intended for use with Victron Smart LiFePo4 batteries with M8 circular connectors. 
The smallBMS has two outputs, similar to the VE.Bus BMS V2.

VE.Bus BMS / VE.Bus BMS V2

The VE.Bus BMS V2 is a Battery Management System (BMS) designed to interface with and protect a single, or multiple Victron Lithium Battery Smart 12,8V & 25,6V (LiFePO4 or LFP) in systems that have Victron inverters or inverter/chargers with VE.Bus communication. It monitors and protects the batteries against over voltage and under voltage of any individual cell, and also over temperature or under temperature conditions.
Based on the status of the battery or batteries, the BMS will:
  • Generate a pre-alarm signal to alert of an imminent cell under voltage condition.
  • Disable inverting in VE.Bus inverters or inverter/chargers via VE.Bus, and disable other loads via the 'Load Disconnect' terminal in the event of a cell under voltage condition.
  • Disable charging in VE.Bus inverters or inverter/chargers via VE.Bus and disable other chargers via the 'Charge Disconnect' terminal in the event of a cell overvoltage, under temperature or over temperature condition.
  • Remote on/off terminals.
  • Ability to disable VE.Direct and VE.Can solar chargers via a GX device.
  • Allowing control of the VE.Bus inverter/charger from multiple devices, like the Digital Multi Control, the VE.Bus Smart dongle and/or a GX device.
  • Auxiliary power input and output terminals that allow a GX device to remain powered in the event of a system shutdown.​

The Lynx Smart BMS is a dedicated Battery Management System for Victron Lithium Smart Batteries. There are multiple BMS-es available for our Smart Lithium series of batteries, and the Lynx Smart is the most feature rich and complete option. Its main features are:
  • Built-in 500A contactor used as a fallback safety mechanism and also suitable as a remote controllable main system switch.
  • Battery monitor, indicating state of charge percentage and more data.
  • Pre-alarm signal: provide a warning before the system shuts down due to -for example- a low cell.
  • Bluetooth for use with VictronConnect App, for setup and monitoring.
  • Local and remote monitoring using a Victron GX device, for example the Cerbo GX.​

Smart BMS CL 12/100​

Smart BMS CL 12/100​

The Smart BMS CL 12/100 is a Battery Management system for Victron lithium-iron-phosphate (LiFePO4) Smart Batteries. It has been specifically designed for 12V systems with a 12V alternator.
The BMS CL 12/100 monitors and protects each individual battery cell within the battery (or battery bank) and will disconnect the alternator, charge sources or DC loads in case of low battery voltage, high battery voltage or over temperature.
The dedicated alternator input provides current limiting and one-way traffic from the alternator into the battery, this so any size alternator (and start battery) can be safely connected to the Smart Lithium battery or batteries.
The BMS is also equipped with a remote on/off connector, to turn the BMS (and the system) off via a remote switch, and a pre-alarm contact, to give a warning signal before the BMS will disconnect the batteries from the system.

​Smart BMS 12/200

​The Smart BMS 12/200 is an all-in-one Battery Management system for Victron Lithium-Iron-Phosphate (LiFePO4) Smart Batteries. It has been specifically designed for 12V systems with a 12V alternator such as in vehicles and boats.
It combines a Current Limiter, Battery Combiner and Battery Protector in a robust and compact solution and lets you safely connect any size 12V alternator (and starter battery), loads and chargers to Smart Lithium batteries.
The Smart BMS 12/200 monitors and protects each individual battery cell within the battery (or battery bank) and will disconnect the alternator, charge sources or DC loads in case of low battery cell voltage, high battery cell voltage or over temperature.
The dedicated alternator connection provides current limiting and one-way traffic from the alternator into the battery, this so any size alternator (and starter battery) can be safely connected to the Smart Lithium battery (or battery bank) and the starter battery is protected from excessive discharge.
The BMS is equipped with Bluetooth for monitoring and configuration, a remote on/off connector, to turn the BMS (and the system) off via a remote switch and a pre-alarm contact, to give a warning signal before the BMS will disconnect the batteries from the system.
